Several mission teams have expressed confusion in the procedure used to update your inventory while you are on the field are after you return. remove the previous Glasses Reader program version through

NOTE:
Options 1 and 2 above load the exact same software a different way
to allow download under Windows 2000 & XP security.
This small program is initiated by the glasses Reader program option:
File | Transfer inventory to Glasses Inventory Program.
When you choose to use this option, the program starts and presents a screen like you see below. Fill in this screen and click DOIT and the program will created a self-extracting EXE which can be directly placed on a USB Disk or floppy. The USB disk or floppy can then be taken to the laptop or desktop running the Eyeglasses Inventory program. When you double click on this EXE, the inventory and journal file for the eyeglasses inventory program will be updated to match the inventory maintained by the Glasses Reader program residing on the other PC.

6.1-5 7/20/2006 When the program is first started without an options file,
made sure the CONTINUE buttons at the bottom are visible
without having to turn off/on the autorefractor function.
6.1-4 7/18/2006 When selecting a COMM port greater than 8 when
starting the program, you got a popup error saying:
"COM pott must be 1-8 in options file! --- Exiting".
Made sure COMM ports 9 and 10 worked.
6.1-3 3/20/2006 Added feature to include "Either" classified eyeglasses
in Male or Female searches. Fixed problem with "Blind"
where some appropriate eyeglasses would not appear
in the list. Resolved problem with the overminus Rose
rule where exact match on the minus would not appear.
6.1-2 2/16/2006 Fixed problem with Deleted/Rejected dump to record
entry "Deleted" in preference to "Rejected". Assures
accurate deleted list transferred to Glasses Reader.

3.1-7 2/22/2008 Changes made to cause the initials to consistently be included on labels.

3.1-6 5/21/2007 (See list below)
 The default file name and path set by version 3.1-4 works but it needs to be reset every time as other browses are undoing this setting. This in particular applies to the option File | Load Deleted & Rejected Inventory from Glasses Inventory Program.
 Allow under manual entry to click data into the PD area.
 Remove "Left: May be minus..verify!" message. Also "Right: May be minus..verify!" messages.
 Change Button Write Sorted Inventory + Empty Journal Files & Check for errors to read instead Write Sorted Inventory & Check for errors.
 When barcoding in high numbers like 9.8 and 9.3 they do not convert to 9.75 and 9.25 as they should. Other numbers are likely the same problem.
 Add a Clear Record button to the barcode window.
 Change option Check to read file into memory at startup to be the default.
 When transferring inventory to the Glasses Inventory program rename the current journal file but do not create a new or create a blank journal file. Let the Glasses Inventory program create this file instead. This means that the file will no longer contain the header record which prevents multiple of these journal files from being merged.
 In support of the network version of Glasses Inventory transfer a copy of the inventory file to the network share along with a BATCH file to transfer it to the local Glasses Reader space. Create an empty journal file in the network share also. Determine the location of the network share from the Glasses Inventory options file.
 Add Support for the measurement of lens including printing of 2 small address labels which can be placed on the lens. Also add capability to barcode scan in these lens when a pair of glasses have been constructed.
